Any person of good character interested in the above may become a member by filing with the membership chair an application accompanied by the required dues and receiving the approval of the Board of Directors. Adult dues (18+ years), $10.00 per year, Junior dues (13-17 years old) $5.00 (12 and under free) an adult member of the society must sponsor any youth 17 and under. A cardboard name badge is issued when becoming a member. After 5 years of continuous membership, members receive a black plastic name badge. Organizing members, those joining from January 1952 through May of 1953, were designated to receive a gold star on their badge after their first 10 years of continuous membership with a silver star added for each additional 10 years of membership. Persons joining after 1953 would receive the black badge after 5 years with only silver stars for each 10 years of continuous membership. The stars are attached to the badge at the Anniversary meeting each January as the member becomes eligible.
